Valheim server in restart loop since latest update?

Increasing numbers of users have been reporting that since the latest Valheim server version release their servers have been crashing and restarting over and over again, making the server unplayable.

The latest version of Valheim's server may require more RAM than previously expected. This appears to be down to the new world saving mechanism. Consider increasing the amount of RAM on your server.

Here is a quick summary of the issue as displayed on the command line:
