If you have an existing Minecraft world which you and would like to continue with it hosted on ServerFlex, you can! Your world can easily be uploaded onto your Minecraft server and it will just work!

The first thing you will need is a Minecraft server - this can easily be done through our Control Panel. If you already have a server, skip this step.

Next you will need to use an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client such as FileZilla. When you have your FTP client open you will need to connect to your server - this is incredibly simple with ServerFlex. Enter the details shown below into your FTP client's quick connect bar.

  • Host: file.serverflex.io
  • Port: 21
  • Username: Your email address
  • Password: Your account password

Click Connect and you will be connected to our Unified FTP system. (Accept the security certificate if prompted.) Look towards the bottom right and you will see a list of directories, one of these will be your Minecraft Server - find your server and double click.

You are now inside the file directory of your Minecraft server. Find the world folder from your previous Minecraft server on your local computer - and simply drop it into your server's main directory in your FTP client. After it has finished uploading you can head back to our Control Panel and restart your server. After restarting your server you need to go to the server Settings (in the navigation bar).

Your new world will appear in the "World" list, find this on the left hand side server navigation. All you need to do is click the world you want to play, restart the server and your world will be ready to play!
