The default behavior of Minecraft is to allow anybody onto your server. It is advisable to whitelist which players can connect to your server to protect from greifers, this can be a problem even if you do not publicly share your IP address.

Note: You must enable the whitelist in the settings to fully enforce the restrictions.

Using ServerFlex

  1. Go to your server on our Web App.
  2. Click settings in the server navigation bar.
  3. Click whitelist on the left menu.
  4. Enter your username into the input box.
  5. Click Add Player and you're done!

If at any point you wish to open your server publicly simply disable the whitelist.
