Announcement: Russia and Belarus
Please be advised, we have decided to suspend services for Russian and Belarusian citizens. We no longer feel comfortable supplying services to citizens of those countries. We hope we can host you again in the future. If you have been affected by this please contact our team - we will happily refund you 100% of your purchase. All game files will be safely returned to server owners.
Citizens from these countries are still able to connect to all game servers in the ServerFlex network as we believe the decision to not permit connections from Russia and Belarus should be on server owners, not us.
Backend Changes and Updates
As we move to become a more matured company, instead of an MVP startup, we are stabilising parts of our internal systems which haven't been touched in almost a year. In this review we have found various bugs (thanks to detailed customer reports, keep 'em coming 😀) and improved system stability.
Scheduled Tasks
This is the big news for the month of February. Scheduled Tasks are almost here - we expect this feature to be rolled out in alpha by the end of March. The ServerFlex Scheduled Tasks functionality is on track to be the most featureful tasks system of any game sever hosting provider. We can't wait to show you what we've build here.
Automatic Ingest
We would like to spotlight our team member Lewis this month. After over a year of operation we still ingest game and plugin updates manually (RIP). It's been a task that we have been trying to get around to for months. But not anymore! We have successfully built an integrated pipeline into our backend to automatically ingest new versions and make them ready to play on your servers.
There is still work to be done in this regard, but we are aiming for a 5 minute release-to-availability period, where a new version of a game or plugin will be available to play on new and existing game servers in 5 minutes or less. 😁
